The reality is that all organizations directly manage some level of IT hardware, and all data center equipment will eventually need repairing, remarketing, or discarding responsibly. Although refresh cycles are lengthening, a 2019 survey by AFCOM revealed that organizations intended to increase the total number of data centers in their portfolio by nearly half by 2022.
